  • (a)

All subdivisions shall be provided with an approved sanitary sewage disposal system which conforms with the current standards set forth by the municipal utilities department, the city's plumbing code and the Texas Department of Health Resources.

    (b)

Sanitary sewers shall be installed to serve each lot in all subdivisions when connections are to be made immediately to community disposal system or to a public sewerage system. When such connection to a system is not to be made immediately, plans shall be prepared for future development and installation of a sewage collection system to serve each lot, and those parts of such system which will be in the portion of streets intended for vehicular traffic, shall be installed. Before the planning commission approves a final plat for a subdivision located outside of, or beyond areas served with city sanitary sewers, the subdivider shall be required to furnish to the commission satisfactory evidence that adequate sewage disposal can be provided by use of approved septic tank or similar system; and such evidence shall include, as a minimum, results of soil tests and borings and statements from appropriate local and state health authorities attesting to satisfactory percolation capabilities of soils.
