§ 36-114. Violations.

  • (a)

    Any person who refuses to comply with, or who resists or willfully violates the provisions of this article, shall be served by the city with a written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for satisfactory correction thereof. Any person who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit shall be guilty of violation of service contract and shall be summarily disconnected from the sanitary sewer and/or water service, such disconnection and reconnection to be at total expense to the customer. Where acids or chemicals damaging to sewer lines or treatment processes are released to the sewer causing rapid deterioration of these structures or interfering with proper treatment of sewage, the director of municipal utilities is authorized to terminate immediately service by such measures as are necessary to protect the sewerage facilities.

    (b)

    Any person that violates any provision of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
