§ 32-2. Banners, advertisements on buildings and awnings across streets.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to erect, attach, keep, have or maintain to, on, about any building, or structure, beyond the property line thereof, or on any awning or shed or the supports thereof, or across any part of any sidewalk or street or public right-of-way within the limits of the city any sign, streamer, advertisement or banner without first procuring written permission from the city manager.

    (b)

    Banner installation and removal over or across a public street shall be done only upon approval by the city manager and shall be performed only by the city traffic and safety department. A fee of one hundred forty-one dollars ($141.00) shall be paid to the city for such installation and removal.
