§ 31-121. Procedure for reducing rates.

(a)

Filing amendment or revised schedule. In the event any person, firm or corporation furnishing electric service shall desire to put into operation any amendment or revision of any schedule hereinabove established, which amendment or revision shall be effective to reduce the net monthly bills of some or all of the customers taking service thereunder and will not increase the bill of any such customer, such person, firm or corporation shall file such amended or revised schedule with the secretary of the city council who shall thereupon issue and deliver a receipt therefor.

(b)

When effective. Unless notice is given by the city to the contrary within thirty (30) days after such filing, such amended or revised schedule shall become effective thirty (30) days after having been filed with the secretary of the city council, and thereafter it shall be lawful for any person, firm or corporation to charge the rates established by such amended or revised schedule until the same shall be lawfully changed.
