Article VI. WATER CONSERVING PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS, STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS |
§ 30-229. Exceptions.
That the standards in section 30-228 shall not apply to hospitals, laboratories, and any application where health and safety are dependent upon particular water flow rates. The building official shall determine whether application requires exception to these standards. In addition, the standards in section 30-228 shall not apply to:
(1)
A fixture, such as a safety shower or aspirator faucet, that, because of the fixture's specialized function, cannot meet the standards provided by said section.
(2)
A fixture originally installed before January 1, 1992.
