§ 22-44. Dismissal of cases.

(a)

No case pending in municipal court shall be dismissed except upon motion of the city attorney or the city attorney's designee, the defendant or his attorney, or on the judge's own motion for good cause shown.

(b)

The municipal court is authorized to collect a special expense for services performed for cases in which the laws of the state require that the case be dismissed because of action by or on behalf of the defendant which was subsequent to the date of the alleged offense. Said special expense shall be in the amount prescribed by state law.
