The 2012 International Fuel Gas Code, hereinafter referred to as the "Fuel Gas Code
of the City of Galveston" (Fuel Gas Code) copies of which have this day been exhibited
to and approved by the city council and certified copies of which are on file in the
respective offices of the city secretary and the building official of the city, is
hereby adopted by reference and declared to establish the minimum regulations governing
the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings, and structures, by providing
the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and
conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation
and use and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy
and use and the demolition of such structures, save and except such portions as are
hereinafter deleted, amended, varied or modified.
