§ 20.5-12. Location of stands and structures.

  • (a)

    Outside of the entertainment district. No stands or structures will be erected or maintained during the Mardi Gras season, by an individual, firm or corporation on the streets, sidewalks or neutral grounds of the city except as permitted by city manager, and by obtaining the appropriate permits.

    (b)

    Within the entertainment district. Stands and structures erected in the entertainment district where buildings abut the sidewalk must provide for passage on the sidewalk and may be erected only with the permission of the city manager and by obtaining the appropriate permit.

    (c)

    Removal. All stands and structures must be removed within the time limits prescribed by the city subsequent to the event for which it was erected. Any stand or structure not so removed may be removed by the city at the owner or operator's expense.
