§ 20.5-11. Insurance requirements for all vendors and Krewes.

  • The following insurance requirements shall be required for all vendors and Krewes:

    (1)

    The city shall be named as additional insured on all policies.

    (2)

    Commercial general liability insurance with limits of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for each occurrence.

    (3)

    Automobile liability insurance (only when vehicles are required). Coverage for any owned, non-owned, hired and all other vehicles used, with limits of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) applicable to bodily injury, sickness or death of any one (1) person or damage to property for any one (1) occurrence.

    (4)

    A certificate of insurance shall be issued per above requirements on most recent accord certificate form. Certificates shall show the additional insured and a copy of additional insured endorsement to insurance policy shall be attached. The policy shall be written on an occurrence made basis.

    (5)

    Vendors must carry in full force workers compensation policy(ies) for all employees. Vendor shall provide coverage meeting the statutory requirements of state labor code for all of vendor's employees providing services at or for Mardi Gras. Current insurance certificates, certifying that workers compensation policy(ies) as specified are in full force shall be attached.
