§ 12-85. Revocation or suspension of licenses.

  • (a)

    Any license issued pursuant to the provisions of this article may be revoked or suspended for:

    (1)

    Habitual drunkenness or the use of narcotics.

    (2)

    Conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude.

    (3)

    Adjudication of insanity.

    (4)

    Fraud or misrepresentation in obtaining a license or permit.

    (5)

    Violating on more than one occasion, either willfully or maliciously, or by reason of incompetence, any provision of this chapter, including failure to obtain permits.

    (6)

    Conviction of defrauding any person for whom he has rendered or contracted to render service.

    (7)

    Securing permit for installation not actually performed by, or actually and personally supervised by permittee.

    (8)

    Securing permit under any pretext for an installation concerning which applicant has no valid contract.

    Prior to revocation or suspension the licensee shall be given ten (10) days' notice by registered or certified mail, and a hearing before the building board; the person notified may be represented by an attorney at law of his choice at the hearing.

    (b)

    The electrical inspector shall refuse to accept an application for an apprentice, journeyman, maintenance or master electrician's license for a period of not more than two (2) years from date of suspension or revocation of a license issued pursuant hereto.
