§ 12-2. Function of building official.

The building official, or his authorized representatives, shall, upon application, cause to be issued permits for the installation and alteration of electrical wiring, devices, appliances, fixtures, apparatus and equipment and final approval thereof, and shall be responsible for inspection of all new electrical installations and reinspections of all electrical installations, except for permit exempt agencies as provided in this Code. He shall keep complete records of all permits issued, inspections and reinspections made, and other official work performed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
